Local event – Africa Day

Come and celebrate the liberation of all African nations at Africa Day, where you’ll experience all things African and exotic under one roof.
This celebration of African diversity will include speakers, music, dance, ethnic foods, cultural displays and more, as well as excerpts from Zimbabwean playwright Stanley Makuwe’s new play Footprints on Ika’s Heart.
Proceeds from koha (donations) and food sales will be used to fund Zimbabwe-NZ playwright Stanley Makuwe’s new play, Footprints on Ika’s Heart, which is planned to be part of the 2013 Auckland Fringe Festival.
