Getting to the RWC opening ceremony at EDEN PARK

What’s your game plan for tomorrow’s match?

Walking? Follow the fun of the Fan Trail to Eden Park. This walking route from Queen Elizabeth Square in the city centre takes about an hour walking briskly – but with all the things to see and do along the way, we recommend you allow two hours to get to the stadium. While the fun would have finished, you can still use this route if you’re heading back to the city afterwards.

Taking public transport? Did you know special event trains and buses are free with your match ticket for three hours before and after matches. Visit maxx.co.nz for all the details.

Jumping in a cab? Taxis have drop-off points about as close as you’ll get to the stadium, and pick-up points on Dominion Road and New North Road, west of Kingsland. Look out for taxis with an orange ‘RWC 2011 accredited’ sticker.

Whatever your plan, leave early to make sure you don’t miss anything.
