My name is Greg Crosby and I run a freight forwarding company called EXM Logistics. So many South African expats in New Zealand are full of ideas for businesses that would involve importing or exporting. However, many of those ideas die a quick death when the topics of shipping, costs, customs and taxes come up. If you’re one of those people with great enthusiasm for your business idea, then I’d like to bring my passion for shipping to the party. We can work out what logistics are required and my task thereafter will be to find a solution that helps make your idea work.
If you’re already importing or exporting then please also give me a call to discuss how I might add more value to your business. I spend many hours a day negotiating the best rates on behalf of my customers, and many more hours getting to know those customers and their needs better. EXM Logistics has its own offices in Auckland and Melbourne, and an excellent network of over 200 agents around the world at your disposal. We also provide access to outstanding customs experts for some of those trickier transactions.
If you are just looking to learn more about the practicalities of importing, exporting or international trade then please feel free to give me a call at any time. I’d love to hear more about you and your business and connect with other South Africans in New Zealand.
I grew up in Benoni, Gauteng and have spent the last 16 years in the shipping and supply chain fields. Ten years were spent at Sasol before coming to New Zealand. Prior to starting EXM Logistics, I worked as Logistics Manager for a large New Zealand scrap metal exporter. I live in Howick with my wife, Tracey (see her website: www.hawumama.com/ !), and daughter, Alora.
